SH-151 Ramps Close in the Daytime Between Potranco and Cable Ranch Through Nov. 6
Entrance and exit ramps on State Highway 151 between Potranco Road and Cable Ranch Road closed at 9 a.m. Monday for daytime work that runs through Nov. 6 — the main lanes stay open, but drivers need alternate access points.

West Side drivers have a new daytime detour to build into the trip. Entrance and exit ramps along State Highway 151 between FM 1957 — Potranco Road — and Cable Ranch Road, roughly four-tenths of a mile west of Interstate 410, closed Monday morning, according to TxDOT closure reporting read in full this cycle.
The closures span Mile Markers 482 to 484 and cut off direct ramp access in that stretch. Traffic crews have posted detour routes around the blockages, and drivers entering or leaving SH-151 between Potranco and Cable Ranch must use alternate access points while the work runs.
The work zone is daytime only. It began at 9 a.m. Monday, October 26, and is scheduled to conclude by 3 p.m. on Friday, November 6. The highway's main lanes remain open, and the reporting notes mainline traffic is continuing without major standing delays.
The ramps sit on the same Far West Side corridor where TxDOT is separately proposing to widen Potranco Road itself from two lanes to six — a plan the Traffic Desk covered last week. That proposal carries no construction schedule yet; this ramp work is scheduled, dated, and under way. The desk's advice: if your regular SH-151 entrance or exit is between Potranco and Cable Ranch, pick the alternate ramp before you leave, especially in the morning and afternoon peaks.
