Corrections Policy

How T.W.A. NEWS San Antonio fixes its mistakes — in the open.

Accuracy is the whole job. When T.W.A. NEWS San Antonio publishes something wrong — a name, a number, a date, a fact — we correct it, and we correct it visibly.

Report an error

Email contact@twanews.com or use the Contact page and choose "Correction." Tell us the story, what is wrong, and what it should say. The assignment desk reviews every correction request.

How corrections appear

A corrected story is fixed in place and carries an editor's note at the top or bottom stating what changed and when. We never quietly rewrite a published story's facts without that note. If an error changes a story's meaning, the correction is called out in the headline area and the story's updated time reflects the fix.

Updates vs. corrections

Developing stories grow as facts are confirmed — new information added to a story is an update, and the story's updated time shows it. A correction is only for something we published that was wrong.

Our commitment

If we got it wrong, we say so. That is the deal between a newsroom and its city, and it is printed here so you can hold us to it.
