Loop 410 Eastbound Shuts Down Overnight: Harry Wurzbach to Starcrest Closes Friday and Saturday Nights
All eastbound Loop 410 main lanes between Harry Wurzbach Road and Starcrest Drive close overnight Friday into Saturday — and again Saturday night — adding a Northeast Side closure to an already crowded weekend map.

Northeast Side drivers get one more closure to plan around this weekend. All eastbound lanes of Loop 410 between Harry Wurzbach Road and Starcrest Drive are scheduled to close overnight, according to TxDOT closure reporting carried by San Antonio stations Thursday evening and Friday morning.
The detailed schedule runs from 9 p.m. Friday until 7 a.m. Saturday — a complete overnight main-lane shutdown, not a lane reduction — and the station reporting says the eastbound lanes close again on Saturday night. The stretch sits near the I-35 corridor, and drivers traveling through that part of Loop 410 late Friday or early Saturday should expect to follow posted detours rather than their normal route.
The closure lands on top of a weekend map this station has been building all week: the full weekend closure of U.S. 281 at Loop 1604 in both directions, the nightly Loop 1604 and I-10 frontage-road closures at the Northwest interchange, and the eastbound Loop 410 exit work at U.S. 281 that runs through Saturday morning. The I-35 and Loop 410 work belongs to the roughly $3 billion I-35 Northeast Expansion, which is widening the interstate from eight to 14 lanes along portions of the Northeast Side.
The Traffic Desk's advice: Friday night is the pinch point, when the Harry Wurzbach-to-Starcrest shutdown, the 281 closure and the first night of Muertos Fest downtown all overlap. Check the live traffic panel on twanews.com before a late trip across the Northeast Side, and give the detour routes the extra minutes they will need.
