Loop 1604 and I-10 Interchange Closures Run All Week: Nights 9 to 5, Days 9 to 3
TxDOT's work at the northwest interchange brings weeknight closures from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. and daytime closures from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on I-10 and Loop 1604 frontage roads and mainlanes, plus ramp and intersection work near La Cantera.

Drivers crossing the northwest side this week will work around TxDOT construction at the Loop 1604 and Interstate 10 interchange in two shifts. Weekday nighttime closures are scheduled from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., and additional daytime closures run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the I-10 frontage roads and mainlanes between Camp Bullis Road and De Zavala Road, as well as on Loop 1604 frontage roads and mainlanes near the interchange, according to KTSA's report of the TxDOT schedule.
The work also reaches the interchange's ramps and intersections: closures will affect eastbound Loop 1604 and I-10 frontage roads, ramps and intersections near La Cantera Parkway, Via La Cantera, UTSA Boulevard and Vance Jackson Road, and some U-turns will close alternately. The pattern follows a weekend round in which the Loop 1604 frontage roads in both directions closed nightly at the interchange, along with eastbound I-10 mainlanes at Loop 1604, from Friday night through early Monday.
Two restrictions are long-term rather than nightly. The left lane of the eastbound I-10 frontage road from La Cantera Parkway to Loop 1604 is closed on an ongoing basis, and the eastbound Loop 1604 entrance ramp after the I-10 interchange is permanently closed. TxDOT advises drivers to allow extra travel time and use caution in the construction zones, and closure schedules can change with weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
