Overnight Weather: Rain at 68 in San Antonio, Halloween Saturday Turns Wet at 76, and Election Day Stays at 43 Percent (T.W.A. NEWS)

San Antonio's Halloween began wet. The station's live Open-Meteo feed, read this cycle, showed 68.1 degrees and feeling like 72.7 with rain falling (weather code 61), and Saturday's own code had flipped to 63 — rain — with a high of 76.2, a low of 67.3, and a precipitation chance of 8 percent on the feed's daily accounting. That is a different Saturday than the evening file promised: at 22:04 Friday the day read overcast (code 3) at 76.9, and overnight the rain code arrived instead.

The rain does not last the weekend. Sunday, November 1, reads overcast at 79.7 with a low of 64.8 and a 3 percent precipitation chance, and Monday warms to 86.2, also overcast, with a low of 68.7 and a 5 percent chance — the warm, dry runway into Election Day that the week's files have tracked, now with a wet first step.

Election Day, Tuesday, November 3, held steady in this feed: rain showers (code 80), a high of 78.8, a low of 65.5, and a 43 percent precipitation chance — unchanged from the late Friday file. Wednesday clears to sunny at 77 with a 1 percent chance, Thursday turns overcast at 78.9 with a 6 percent chance, and Friday, November 6, reads mainly clear at 79.9 with a 3 percent chance. Halloween trick-or-treaters should plan for wet streets early and check the sky again by evening; Tuesday's voters should still carry the umbrella plan.
