Election Day in Bexar County: Polls Open 7 A.M. to 7 P.M. Tuesday, and Any Vote Center in the County Will Take Your Ballot (T.W.A. NEWS)

Early voting is over, and for Bexar County voters who waited, everything now rides on one day. The county's vote centers will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, for the joint general and special election, according to the Bexar County Elections Department's official Notice of General Election, read this cycle. Bexar County uses vote centers, so a registered voter can cast a ballot at any open county vote center rather than being limited to one assigned neighborhood precinct — the flexibility that applied during early voting applies on Election Day too, according to the county-facing voter guides read this cycle.

What is on the ballot is the full midterm slate. Voters will decide federal, state and county offices — the U.S. Senate and U.S. House races, governor and the other statewide offices, the Texas Legislature, county offices and courts, and the Bexar County Appraisal District board — plus the local measures on some city and school ballots, including the City of San Antonio charter election and school bond and tax items in districts holding them, the county notice lists. UT San Antonio's Main Campus, which served as a voting site through early voting, also serves on Election Day, in the H-E-B Student Union Bexar Room, with the polls there running the same 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., the university's election notice said; the Bexar County Elections Department office at 1103 South Frio Street is a vote center as well.

Three rules are worth carrying into Tuesday. First, locations can change between elections, so voters should check the county's current list at elections.bexar.gov before heading out rather than relying on where they voted last time. Second, anyone in line by 7 p.m. can still vote — the close of polls does not close the line. Third, all voting centers in Bexar County have curbside voting, UT San Antonio's notice said. Results on election night are unofficial as they are counted and posted through the evening; the county's count becomes official only after canvass. For the roughly two in three registered Bexar voters who did not vote early, Tuesday is not the fallback plan anymore — it is the whole election.
