Williamson County Early Voting Tops 234,000: Nearly Half Its Registered Voters, With the Final Day Up 46 Percent
Wilco finished at 234,299 early ballots — 49.68 percent of its 471,602 registered voters — after Friday drew 25,010, the period's second-busiest day and a jump of roughly 46 percent from Thursday, Wilco Elections' unofficial totals show.

Almost half of Williamson County has already voted. Across the 12 days of early voting, October 19 through 30, the county recorded 234,299 voters — 49.68 percent of its 471,602 registered voters — according to unofficial totals from Wilco Elections reported this cycle and read in full. Friday, the final day, drew 25,010 voters: 24,326 in person, 239 limited ballots, 175 provisional ballots and 270 mail ballots received. Friday alone accounted for 5.30 percent of everyone registered in the county.
The closing surge mirrors the pattern in Travis County to its south. Only opening day, October 19, was busier in Wilco, at 29,006; turnout then eased through the first week and fell to its slowest day, 8,569, on Sunday, October 25, before climbing back — Thursday's 17,139 became Friday's 25,010, an increase of roughly 46 percent in a day. The Wilco Jester Annex was the county's busiest site on the final day at 2,386 voters and across the full period at 22,897, ahead of Brushy Creek Community Center, the Cedar Park Recreation Center, Hutto City Hall and the Leander Senior Activity Center.
Together with Travis County's 47.20 percent (SQ-20261031-039), the Austin metro's two big counties both finished early voting with close to half their registered voters already banked — in a midterm, before a single Election Day ballot is cast. The figures are unofficial and may change as counts finalize, Wilco Elections notes. Election Day is Tuesday, November 3; Williamson voters who have not voted should confirm their assigned polling places and requirements through Wilco Elections. Austin bureau pickup credited.
