The penultimate week of the Texas regular season nearly set the San Antonio playoff picture: Steele 49-10 over New Braunfels Canyon, Reagan 52-0 over Roosevelt, Brennan 69-0 over Marshall, Smithson Valley 61-20 over Seguin — and Warren's 42-28 win over Stevens leaves the Warriors waiting on O'Connor's results for a postseason berth.

Week 10 Roundup: Steele, Reagan and Brennan Roll, Smithson Valley Puts 61 on Seguin, and Warren Outlasts Stevens 42-28 (T.W.A. NEWS)

Friday night, October 30, was the penultimate week of the 2026 regular season for Texas high school football, and across San Antonio the playoff picture nearly set. The area's ranked powers handled their business in routs, according to the Week 10 scoreboard read in full this cycle (KSAT's area scores, published Saturday): Steele beat New Braunfels Canyon 49-10, Clemens edged Pieper 52-49 in the night's highest-scoring game, Wagner beat San Marcos 33-28, Reagan shut out Roosevelt 52-0, Madison beat LEE 52-14, and Brennan shut out Marshall 69-0.

The unbeaten and near-unbeaten class kept pace. Smithson Valley beat Seguin 61-20, Boerne Champion shut out Austin McCallum 61-0, Boerne beat New Braunfels 28-17, Alamo Heights beat Liberty Hill Legacy Ranch 52-11, and Johnson — the area's HSFA-ranked side — shut out Churchill 56-0, the High School Football America scoreboard records. Inside the city, Harlandale beat Brackenridge 42-7, Sam Houston beat Highlands 33-14, Burbank shut out Edison 27-0, New Braunfels Long Creek edged Veterans Memorial 45-43, and Eagle Pass beat Southwest Legacy 34-28.

The night's most consequential result may be the one that settled nothing. Warren beat Stevens 42-28 at Gustafson Stadium after breaking a fourth-quarter tie — Mac Anderson completed 20 of 27 passes for 264 yards and four touchdowns, and Isaiah Ngaue-Hafoka's 6-yard touchdown catch with 2:31 remaining supplied the go-ahead points, Wisevoter's game account reports. Warren finishes 6-4 and Stevens 1-8 — and the Warriors' playoff qualification still depends on O'Connor's upcoming results against Taft or Sotomayor: an O'Connor loss in either game is the condition that puts Warren in. The regular season closes next week; the brackets follow.
