Trump Brings His Midterm Blitz to Texas With Rallies in Corpus Christi and Lubbock for Paxton and Abbott
President Donald Trump campaigned in Corpus Christi and Lubbock on Tuesday for Senate candidate Ken Paxton and Gov. Greg Abbott, one week before Election Day, while Democrat James Talarico held his own rally in Lubbock the same night.

President Donald Trump brought his midterm campaign blitz to Texas on Tuesday, holding a rally in Corpus Christi in the afternoon ahead of a second stop in Lubbock, campaigning for Republican Senate candidate Ken Paxton and Gov. Greg Abbott one week before the Nov. 3 election, according to Associated Press reporting carried by the Washington Examiner.
Trump was joined in Corpus Christi by Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and the stops featured former Texas college and NFL players Colt McCoy, Johnny Manziel and Danny Amendola. It was Trump's third Texas visit this month, made as Paxton's race against Democratic state Rep. James Talarico is rated a toss-up.
Lubbock got both campaigns the same night: Talarico was scheduled to hold a rally Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Fiesta Center in Lubbock, according to Lubbock Online's live coverage. Gov. Greg Abbott had also been reported as a possible Lubbock visitor on Friday for a get-out-the-vote event, though his campaign had not confirmed that visit and the event page advertising it was removed.
