The chain's newest Alamo City location opens at 8 a.m. Saturday at 7411 N. Loop 1604 East, with free smoothies for a year for the first 50 customers and $1.99 smoothies all day for everyone else.
Tropical Smoothie Cafe will open its 10th San Antonio location on Saturday, and the first customers in line will be drinking free for a year. According to company officials as reported by the San Antonio Current, the grand opening ceremony starts at 8 a.m. Saturday at the new store at 7411 N. Loop 1604 East, and the first 50 customers in line will receive free smoothies for a year.
Customers who do not make the early cut will still get a deal: guests at the grand opening can buy smoothies for $1.99 all day, the owners said in the Current's report.
The Atlanta-based fast-casual chain offers customizable smoothies alongside breakfast and lunch items including flatbreads, acai bowls, bacon wraps, a turkey bacon ranch sandwich, quesadillas and protein-filled wraps. Tropical Smoothie Cafe has operated in San Antonio since at least 2018 and has more than 1,750 locations nationwide, according to the Current.
