No. 15 Trinity Closes Its Home Schedule Saturday: Senior Day Against Sewanee After a 28-21 Escape at Millsaps
Trinity's final home game of 2026 kicks off at 1 p.m. Saturday at Trinity Multi-Purpose Stadium, where the No. 15 Tigers — fresh off a 28-21 road win at Millsaps that a final-minute interception sealed — host a 1-6 Sewanee team on Senior Day and Homecoming weekend.

Trinity University's home season ends the way a ranked team would want it to: at home, on a celebration weekend, with momentum. The No. 15 Tigers host Sewanee — the University of the South — at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, at Trinity Multi-Purpose Stadium in the program's final home game of 2026, a Senior Day matchup on Homecoming weekend, according to Trinity Athletics' preview.
The Tigers arrive off the hardest kind of road win. At Millsaps, Trinity built a 28-14 lead, watched the Majors close to 28-21 on a 91-yard run with 5:42 left, and then survived the final drive when Dorien Hill intercepted a fourth-down pass in the final minute, Trinity Athletics reported. Hunter Pavlicek, a San Antonio Churchill product, made the fourth-and-one stop at the Millsaps 29 that set up the tense finish, and Luke Sams scored on a one-yard run in the fourth quarter.
Sewanee's record says 1-6 overall and 0-4 in the Southern Athletic Association, with four straight conference losses since a 24-17 win over North Carolina Wesleyan — but its ground game travels. Sophomore Barton Mixon has rushed for 552 yards and six touchdowns on 92 carries, including 243 yards and two scores against Centre, and quarterback Maddox Franklin has thrown for 627 yards and four touchdowns, with Na'Shawn Holman (471 receiving yards) and Na'Zaiyah Holman (338 yards, three touchdowns) his main targets, according to Trinity's preview. Sewanee has averaged 21.9 points a game while allowing 45.7.
For Trinity, Saturday is both a send-off and a checkpoint: honor the seniors, protect the home field one last time in 2026, and carry the SAA race forward with no slip against the conference's last-place visitor. Kickoff is 1 p.m.
