Shaq Urges Victor Wembanyama to Play Meaner After His 36-Point Night in Utah
Shaquille O'Neal said after Wednesday's overtime win that he would still like to see Victor Wembanyama play a little meaner — on a night Wembanyama had 36 points and 14 rebounds, Heavy reported.

Victor Wembanyama had 36 points and 14 rebounds in Wednesday's 117-111 overtime win at Utah — and Shaquille O'Neal still wants more edge. "I would still like to see Victor play a little mean," O'Neal said after the game, according to Heavy. "He had 36 and 14 tonight. That was a really good game for him, but would love to see him play a little meaner."
O'Neal also credited the group around him. "They definitely have a chip on their shoulder. They know what it takes to get to a certain level," he said, Heavy reported. Wembanyama, 22, has powered San Antonio to a 3-2 start, averaging 25.0 points, 11.4 rebounds and 3.8 blocks a game, according to the same report.
The Spurs are back home Saturday night against Minnesota, opening a three-game homestand at the Frost Bank Center. San Antonio remains without Tobias Harris, whose calf injury has kept him out all season; head coach Mitch Johnson said this week Harris is progressing and doing work on the court, but the team will stay conservative with his return.
