Texas Early Voting Closes at 7,699,516 Ballots: 7.43 Million In Person, 268,458 by Mail
The final early-vote count for Texas is in: 7,699,516 ballots were cast before Election Day — 7,431,058 in person during the October 19-30 early window and 268,458 mail ballots returned — according to the University of Florida Election Lab figures compiled from the state's election system as of November 1.

Texas goes into Election Day with nearly 7.7 million ballots already banked. A total of 7,699,516 Texans voted early in the November 3 general election — 7,431,058 in person and 268,458 by mail — according to the University of Florida Election Lab figures compiled from the Texas election system (goelect.txelections.civixapps.com) as of November 1, carried in the TrackaVote state file read this cycle.
In-person early voting ran Monday, October 19 through Friday, October 30 at locations across all 254 counties, with hours set by each county, per the Texas Secretary of State's election dates carried in the same file. Texas has no ballot drop boxes: mail ballots return by mail, by a common or contract carrier, or by hand delivery by the voter in person on Election Day only, to the county early voting clerk's office, with an acceptable photo ID shown, per the file. A mail ballot counts if received by 7 p.m. on Election Day when its envelope is not postmarked, or by 5 p.m. on November 4 if it is postmarked by 7 p.m. on Election Day.
What remains is Election Day itself. Polls across Texas are open Tuesday, November 3 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and anyone in line at closing time may still vote, per the Secretary of State guidance carried in the voting guides read this cycle. In Bexar County, voters may use any countywide vote center — the checklist this station published this morning (SQ-20261101-032) carries the ID rules and the 100-foot rules for Tuesday.
