Sunday Trunk-or-Treat Guide: 12 Events Across San Antonio, From a 9 A.M. Car Show in Helotes to K1 Speed at 6
San Antonio families get a full Sunday of trunk-or-treats on October 25 — a dozen events in the AllEvents listings, most of them free, running from a morning car show in Helotes through evening costume contests across the city.

Halloween arrives early across San Antonio on Sunday, with a dozen trunk-or-treat events listed for October 25 in the AllEvents San Antonio listings read in full this run. The day starts at 9 a.m. in Helotes, where VFW Post 8759 and the Impalas Car Club host a free Trunk or Treat Car Show at 8759 FM-1560 North until 5 p.m. — the trunk-or-treat competition is free to enter, and the car show entry is listed at $20.
The midday stops are church and community events. St. John Lutheran Church in Boerne holds its Halloween Fall Festival and Trunk or Treat from noon to 1:45 p.m. at 315 Rosewood Avenue, with food served at noon, and the Boys & Girls Clubs of San Antonio hold their 4th Annual Unity Trunk or Treat — a free event open to car clubs and community organizations — from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. at 123 Ralph Avenue. Prince of Peace Catholic Church follows from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. in its back parking lot at 7893 Grissom Road; the listing asks for no scary or occult costumes and welcomes candy donations at the parish office.
The evening run is the busiest. The University of the Incarnate Word holds its annual Trunk-or-Treat from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in front of the Natatorium at 4301 Broadway — a free event open to alumni and their families, with student groups decorating vehicles and passing out candy, according to the university's official events page. Also at 5 p.m.: the America the Beautiful trunk-or-treat at 701 Kitty Hawk Road in Universal City (until 7 p.m.), the Cadillac Drive Barbershop Fall Festival at 14415 Blanco Road (until 8 p.m., listed as free with more than 20 vendors and live music), and a trunk-or-treat at 19818 U.S. Highway 281 North (until 7 p.m., with a costume contest). The night closes at K1 Speed San Antonio at 6 p.m., with raffles, costume contests, local food vendors and a live DJ in its listing.
AllEvents counts 49 trunk-or-treat events across San Antonio from October 24 to 31, with 12 of them on Sunday, October 25, and lists nine of the season's events as free. Families heading out Sunday evening will be doing it in warm, dry weather — the station's live forecast puts Sunday's high at 83 degrees with a 1 percent precipitation chance.
