Spurs Come Home Tuesday to Face Sacramento After First Win in Dallas (T.W.A. NEWS)

The San Antonio Spurs come home with their first win of the season. San Antonio beat the Dallas Mavericks 122-106 on Saturday night in Dallas, the Associated Press reported: Victor Wembanyama had 23 points, seven rebounds and four blocks, Dylan Harper scored 22 points, and De'Aaron Fox and Stephon Castle added 19 points apiece as the Spurs avoided their first 0-3 start since 2008-09. San Antonio had lost to Oklahoma City on Tuesday and to Houston in Austin on Friday.

The next test is at home. The Spurs host the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday, October 27, at 7 p.m. CDT at Frost Bank Center, according to the league schedule carried by Sportradar. Sacramento plays first — the Kings host Memphis on Sunday night at 8 p.m. CDT at Golden 1 Center — before traveling to San Antonio for Tuesday's game.

Saturday's win turned in the fourth quarter. The Spurs gave back a 14-point third-quarter lead, then opened the final period on a 17-5 run in the first six minutes and outscored Dallas 30-17 in the quarter, the AP reported. San Antonio grabbed 15 offensive rebounds and outscored the Mavericks 25-10 in second-chance points. Dallas played without Cooper Flagg, out with a shoulder injury suffered Friday at Indiana and scheduled to be reevaluated next week, and without Kyrie Irving, who sat out the second night of a back-to-back after returning this season from a torn ACL.

After Sacramento, the schedule turns quickly: the Spurs are at Utah on Wednesday, October 28, at 8 p.m. CDT, then home again Saturday, October 31, against Minnesota at 7 p.m. CDT at Frost Bank Center, per the Sportradar schedule.
