Sunday is the last day of Sosy & Sasha's Spooktacular Adoption Event at the San Antonio Humane Society. The special runs Sunday, Oct. 25, from 12:30 to 7 p.m. at the society's shelter at 4804 Fredericksburg Road, San Antonio, TX 78229, according to the society's official event listing. The event series opened Friday, Oct. 23, and ran through the weekend at the same daily hours, 12:30 to 7 p.m.

Thanks to a generous donor, all kitten adoption fees are covered for the special, and adoption fees are waived for cats and kittens, the society announced — in its words, "No tricks — only treats!" Ambassador pets are excluded from the promotion, the announcement notes. The society's event page points adopters to its cats listing at SAhumane.org/cats, and the shelter can be reached at 210-226-7461.

To help speed up the adoption process, the society asks visitors to bring proof of residence, their pet policy if applicable, and any current pets' veterinary records. The society's regular daily hours at the Fredericksburg Road shelter are also 12:30 to 7 p.m., so the Spooktacular's final day runs on the shelter's normal Sunday schedule.

The San Antonio Humane Society describes itself as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, no-kill organization that has served Bexar County and its surrounding areas since 1952, sheltering, medically treating and rehabilitating thousands of dogs and cats every year. As a no-kill organization, it says every treatable pet in its care stays in its care until the pet finds a home or a placement with another no-kill organization.
