John Washington III Says the Entire Political System Must Be Questioned, Not Just One Party or the Other
John Washington III, a 2028 presidential candidate, said Democrats and Republicans both operate under the same political system, and asked why so many Americans feel taken advantage of no matter which party holds office.

John Washington III, a 2028 presidential candidate, called the political system a joke and said it is time to question the entire system. "How long are we going to continue allowing a political system to control our lives, exercise power over us, and take our hard-earned money without questioning how that power is being used?" he wrote.
John Washington III noted that the two parties operate inside one system. "Both parties operate under the same political system," he wrote, adding that both participate in passing laws, collecting taxes, creating regulations and exercising governmental authority over the American people. "If both political parties are supposed to be fighting for the people, why do so many Americans continue to feel like they are the ones being taken advantage of?" he wrote. "Why are we always arguing about Democrats and Republicans instead of questioning the system both parties operate under?"
John Washington III listed the questions he said go unanswered after each election. "Who is really benefiting? Who is really being represented? And who is actually holding these people accountable?" he wrote. Politicians promise to fight for voters, protect their rights, lower their taxes and change the system, John Washington III said, and then he asked: "But what happens after they get elected? Where is the change? Where is the accountability? Where is the fight for the American people?"
John Washington III also stated his own party position plainly. "I am a member of the Democratic Party," he wrote. "But that does not mean I'm going to sit here and pretend that everything the Democratic Party does is right!"
