John Washington III Calls the Political System Corrupt and Says Independent Voices Are Pushed Out While Their Ideas Are Taken
John Washington III, a 2028 presidential candidate, asked who decides which candidates get the cameras, the money, the endorsements and the publicity, called the sidelining of independent voices gatekeeping rather than democracy, and called for peaceful, constitutional change to build a government that works for the people.

John Washington III said the political system needs to be exposed, arguing that a small circle decides which candidates are placed in front of the cameras and which ones receive money, endorsements and publicity. "Who decides who gets put in front of the cameras? Who gets the money, the endorsements, the publicity?" he wrote.
John Washington III said independent voices are pushed out while their ideas are taken and handed to chosen candidates. "They won't stand behind us, but they'll hand our ideas to their chosen puppets on a string," he wrote. "That's not democracy, that's gatekeeping."
John Washington III called for "peaceful, constitutional change" to build a new government that actually works for the people, citing the Declaration of Independence. "The Declaration of Independence says when a government becomes destructive of our rights, the people can alter or abolish it," he wrote, urging Americans to "build something that serves the people, not the powerful."
