JCB Breaks Ground November 16 on an $8 Million, 24,000-Square-Foot Dealership on Texas 16 South
The new dealership at 13806 Texas 16 South will run alongside JCB's existing S.E. Loop 410 location, while its $500 million South Side plant — expected to employ 1,500 people — tests equipment ahead of a first-quarter 2027 production launch.

JCB is adding a second San Antonio storefront to go with its South Side factory. The equipment maker will begin construction November 16 on an $8 million, 24,000-square-foot dealership at 13806 Texas 16 South, according to reporting carried by WiseVoter this week, with the dealership's construction expected to be complete by January 2028.
The dealership will operate alongside JCB's existing San Antonio location at 3744 S.E. Loop 410. The bigger project behind it is the company's $500 million, 1-million-square-foot manufacturing plant on the South Side, which is currently testing equipment and is expected to eventually employ 1,500 workers producing aerial lift machines and telescopic handlers. Production at the plant is scheduled to launch in the first quarter of 2027, with its grand opening scheduled for April 2027.
The company chose San Antonio for its strategic central location for supply chains and ports, the report says, identifying Texas as the nation's largest market for construction equipment. For the South Side, the sequence matters: the plant's hiring ramp through 2027 now has a retail and service arm growing up on the same side of the city, on the Texas 16 corridor.
