Jardín de las Catrinas, the San Antonio Botanical Garden's Día de los Muertos exhibition, is in its final week: the show that opened Sept. 15 runs through Monday, Nov. 2, 2026, according to the Garden's own exhibition page. It brings together eight larger-than-life Catrinas, more than 10,000 marigolds and hundreds of living plants across the Garden at 555 Funston Place.

San Antonio artist Regina Moya created the Catrinas, each inspired by nature, Mexican traditions and refranes — traditional sayings that share wisdom passed down through generations, the Garden says. Some of the figures stand up to 16 feet tall and incorporate living plants, so the sculptures change as the season goes on. “Jardín de las Catrinas is a celebration of the stories that connect us to each other and to nature,” Garden president and CEO Katherine Trumble said in the exhibition's launch coverage.

The exhibition is included with Garden admission and with membership, according to the Garden and Visit San Antonio. Regular September–October hours are 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 8 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, with members able to enter from 7 a.m.

For the closing days, the Garden lists special November hours: on Sunday, Nov. 1, general admission runs 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., and on Monday, Nov. 2, the final day, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., with members able to enter from 8 a.m. on both days. The exhibition is presented by Bank of America, with additional support listed from the William Knox Holt Foundation, Lucie Frost and Susan Toomie Frost, and the Texas Commission on the Arts.
