Cowboys Close Out the Eagles 38-21 on Monday Night: Prescott Throws Three Touchdowns, Williams Runs for 155 (T.W.A. NEWS)

The Dallas Cowboys beat the Philadelphia Eagles 38-21 on Monday night at Lincoln Financial Field, closing Week 7 with a win that ended their two-game losing streak and extended Philadelphia's to five games. Both teams entered at 2-4; Dallas leaves 3-4 and the Eagles fall to 2-5.

Dak Prescott threw three touchdown passes — 9 and 16 yards to CeeDee Lamb and a 21-yard toe-tap score to George Pickens — and ran in a two-point conversion, finishing 15 of 27 for 212 yards with no interceptions. Lamb caught five passes for 74 yards and the two touchdowns, and Javonte Williams carried the ground game: 25 carries for 155 yards, capped by a 2-yard touchdown with 2:27 left that sealed it. Brandon Aubrey was perfect — field goals of 55, 27 and 24 yards plus all three extra points.

Philadelphia led three times in the first half behind rushing touchdowns from Saquon Barkley (8 yards) and Dameon Pierce (5 yards), and backup quarterback Tanner McKee — starting in place of Jalen Hurts — put the Eagles back in front 21-20 in the third quarter with a 4-yard touchdown pass to rookie Makai Lemon, Lemon's first NFL touchdown, at the end of a 17-play, 84-yard drive that ate 9 minutes 16 seconds. Barkley, back from a hamstring injury, carried once for 12 yards on that drive and then sat; he finished with 62 yards on seven carries.

Dallas answered in just over four minutes — Prescott to Lamb from 16 yards plus Prescott's two-point run — and never trailed again. The defense finished the job: DeMarvion Overshown intercepted McKee in the fourth quarter, Quinnen Williams sacked him on the Eagles' next possession, which died on downs, and Williams the running back ground out the clock behind 204 team rushing yards. Dallas outgained Philadelphia 416 to 288.
