San Antonio police have arrested a 19-year-old they accuse of taking part in an organized ring that broke into pickup trucks in Castle Hills and stole a Range Rover worth up to $90,000, KSAT reported, in coverage summarized this week by MotorBiscuit. Isaac Daniel Vasquez was arrested on two counts of burglary of a vehicle, theft of property and engaging in organized criminal activity.

Surveillance cameras captured two people breaking into pickup trucks on Briarcliff Drive and Gardenview Drive on Feb. 5, according to an affidavit filed by Castle Hills police and reported by KSAT. Investigators say Vasquez used a screwdriver to break a pickup's window and take what was inside. The investigation also ties him to a stolen 2023 Range Rover, worth about $75,000 to $90,000, taken from a home near Alamo Heights and recovered weeks later; police have not named the second person in the footage.

Neighbors told KSAT the arrest has not settled the street. Shanna Beyah said her family's car was broken into during their second week in the neighborhood and a duffel bag of souvenirs and cash was taken — "It was the last thing I expected," she said, though it is not clear whether her break-in is connected to Vasquez. "I get kind of worried because it's a pretty peaceful street for the most part," said Michael Ferguson, who has lived in Castle Hills for 15 years.
