Bexar County's Final Early Vote: 473,879 Ballots, 36 Percent of Everyone Registered
Bexar County finished early voting fourth among Texas counties at 473,879 ballots — 36 percent of its 1,325,780 registered voters — in a statewide final count of 6,857,566, the county-by-county tally read this cycle shows.

Bexar County's early-voting story now has its final number. The county cast 473,879 early ballots through Friday, October 30 — 36 percent of its 1,325,780 registered voters — according to the county-by-county Texas early-voting tally read in full this cycle. That puts Bexar fourth in the state, behind Harris County's 926,142 (34 percent of registered), Dallas County's 550,224 (37 percent) and Tarrant County's 524,539 (43 percent), and ahead of Travis County's 405,868 (43 percent).
Statewide, the same tally puts the final early vote at 6,857,566 Texans — 36 percent of registered voters — across the October 19-30 run. The daily rhythm peaked early and never collapsed: 911,000 ballots on the first Monday, a second-week Monday of 600,000, and more than half a million on each of the run's final weekdays, the tally's day-by-day line shows. Bexar's own school-bond questions — Northside ISD and San Antonio ISD measures are listed on the county's ballot in the tally — were part of what those voters decided alongside the federal and state races.
What remains is Tuesday. Early voting is closed; Election Day, November 3, is the last chance for the roughly two-thirds of registered Bexar voters who have not yet cast a ballot, and for the mail voters whose ballots run on the receipt-and-postmark clocks this station detailed Friday (SQ-20261031-004). The county's first-day record — 42,776 ballots, the biggest non-presidential opener in its history — turned out to be the shape of the whole two weeks, not an opening-day spike.
