All Four Top Texas Candidates Head to El Paso in the Final Week: Talarico Tonight, Then Hinojosa, Abbott and Paxton (T.W.A. NEWS)

EL PASO — With Election Day just over a week away and early voting in full swing, some of Texas' most prominent candidates are heading to El Paso. Democratic U.S. Senate candidate James Talarico, his Republican opponent Ken Paxton, Democratic gubernatorial candidate Gina Hinojosa and Republican Gov. Greg Abbott are all campaigning in the Sun City as the Nov. 3 midterm election approaches.

Talarico is scheduled first: his "Clear Eyes, Full Hearts" tour reaches El Paso on Monday, Oct. 26, with a rally at 7 p.m. at UTEP's Magoffin Auditorium, 675 Circle Drive. Doors open at 6 p.m. The tour's name comes from the Texas football classic "Friday Night Lights."

Hinojosa brings her "One Fight Tour" to El Paso on Wednesday, Oct. 28, at 6 p.m. at the Epic Railyard Event Center, 2201 East Mills Ave., where merchandise will be available and interested volunteers can sign up ahead of Election Day. Abbott follows on Thursday, Oct. 29, with a get-out-the-vote event at 3 p.m. at Rosa's Cantina, 3454 Doniphan Drive; the event is free, and food and light refreshments will be served.

Paxton closes the El Paso swing on Sunday, Nov. 1, at 3:30 p.m. at the Orca Event Center, 11323 Rojas Drive, Suite A-101, a stop recently added to his "Come and Take It" tour. The event is free, with spots reservable on the Paxton campaign website. The visits come during the final week of early voting in Texas, as the candidates travel the state to rally supporters and encourage Texans to cast their ballots.
