Sunday Afternoon Forecast: Warm to 85 on Wednesday, Then Cooler and Wetter Thursday and Friday (T.W.A. NEWS)

San Antonio's Sunday afternoon is warm and overcast. The station's live Open-Meteo feed read 81.7 degrees, feeling like 82.7, at mid-afternoon, with Sunday's high at 82.9 and the low at 65.3 and just a 1 percent chance of precipitation — dry weather for Muertos Fest's closing day at Hemisfair, which runs noon to 9 p.m. Sunday, and for the final week of early voting to get underway outdoors. Monday stays much the same: overcast, a high of 81.3 and a low of 63.3, with a 3 percent rain chance.

The pattern starts to change Tuesday. The feed shows drizzle (weather code 51) with a high of 78.4, a low of 66 and a 45 percent chance of precipitation. Wednesday is the week's warm day — a high of 85.2 and a low of 67.2 — even as drizzle chances continue at 26 percent, so Wednesday voters and commuters get summer-like warmth with a chance of light rain.

Thursday brings the cooler, wetter turn. The high falls to 73.3 with a low of 67.1 and the week's highest rain chance, 57 percent, again with drizzle in the feed. Friday cools further — rain (weather code 63), a high of 69.8 and a low of 63.5, with a 21 percent precipitation chance — and Saturday holds near 70 with a low of 63.4 and a 10 percent chance. The practical read: finish outdoor plans early in the week, keep rain gear handy from Tuesday on, and expect a noticeably cooler end to October than its start.
