JD Vance Rallies in Weatherford as the Republican Ticket Fans Out Across Texas in the Final Week
The vice president's Thursday stop in Parker County was his third Texas campaign stop in about a month, aimed at Republican turnout in the Paxton-Talarico Senate race five days before Election Day, on the same day President Trump rallied in South Carolina.

Vice President JD Vance rallied Texas Republicans in Weatherford on Thursday, October 29, at a Texas GOP event aimed at boosting turnout in solidly Republican Parker County ahead of contests that include the U.S. Senate race between Republican Ken Paxton and Democrat James Talarico. Vance was scheduled to speak at 1:50 p.m. Central, with doors opening at 10 a.m. and the program beginning at 12:15 p.m., according to Political.org's report of the day's campaign schedule.
The Weatherford stop was Vance's third campaign stop in Texas in roughly a month, after rallies in Harlingen and Tyler. It came a day after he campaigned in Kinston, North Carolina, alongside Senate candidate Michael Whatley, where he urged supporters to vote early. President Donald Trump headlined his own rally the same day in Rock Hill, South Carolina, for Sen. Darline Graham — a paired schedule the report describes as a strategy of defending conservative strongholds in the campaign's final days.
With Election Day on Tuesday, November 3, five days out from the Weatherford rally, both parties are concentrating on turnout rather than persuasion, the report said. Early voting in Texas ends Friday, October 30, and similar early-voting windows are closing elsewhere — the context for the ticket's push to get supporters to the polls now. Thirty-five Senate seats are on the November 3 ballot nationwide.
